[Playground] Hokey Pokey @ Seletar Mall

Sunday, July 05, 2015

Alright, to be honest my sister was the one who found this gem when she was helping to babysit my girl, she even signed up for membership!

Hokey Pokey (ceased operations on Nov 2017) was located in The Seletar Mall in Fernvale Sengkang. The concept of an indoor playground was a stranger to me at that time, probably because I was still in my own world, so I wasn't very hyped up when she told me about this place. Only when I joined them during their second visit did I realize that it's a pretty fun place for toddlers!

It's an indoor playground started by a group of mummies with children of the same age and this place was designed specially to cater for toddlers who love pretend plays. The only active play areas were the Thomas train ride-on play set and the slide where the kids will land into the ball pool. The Thomas mini rollar-coaster ride looked so fun that I'd recommend buying for your kids (if you have money and space) and they'll probably spend the whole day going up and down repeatedly.

It's the Ball Pit again!

As mentioned, this playground was filled with pretend-play stations and ride-on sets so the place was constantly in a very busy atmosphere.

There's also a reading corner, dollhouses, tables and shelves of toys and trains, and a dress-up corner which she apparently didn't take it too well. She's not a fan of cosplay and will squeeze herself out of the costumes after a snapshot.

Basically, Hockey Pokey was really a good choice for the kids to enjoy themselves because the place was just like a big comfortable room filled with toys in every corner you turn so the 2-hr admission was definitely well-spent! For bigger kids, it wouldn't be such an ideal place because of the lack of active play areas for their running and climbing.

Highly recommendable for kids aged below 4!
